AMosquera, class reflection 4/9
The following paragraph describes a video shown to our class. In it I was reflecting on the images seen on the video. I missed the first part but when I had looked up the screen depicted flowers and a revisor in the south west, coupled with an instrumental music. The video showed two mountains exploding then changed the percussion to then show a truck being over taken by black smoke. There were a lot of landscape scenes. The camera music made me dizzy and start to hate to music. The next following scenes, I was unaware of what I saw, but did understand the nuclear explosion, and the family laying on the beach. The music was heavenly while showing the reflection of a glassed window building with the reflection of the sky. At this point I am not sure what the point of this video is, and is leaving me confused. The video has continued and has shown two different scenes of planes, at this point I believed we were watching a bomb about to fall, but was interrupted by a spaceship take off. Skipping ahead the explosions happen and when they stop so did the music.
Overall, it was depressing. We see how the untouched nature gets bombed. It was a rollercoaster of emotions, mirroring a human. These transitions were shot in the arcs of natural parks, showing the formations of nature earth. Flowers put in rows mirrors the human impact or touch that makes them less natural. Also, the mining shots showing how much we need from the earth, and the war showing destruction and greed for resources, all in order to have a huge economic engine that promotes trade. This now major city mirrors the natural land, tall building acting like the valleys in cannons. In this empire there is poverty, homes stacked on top of each other, and damage. We then see multiple buildings fall to the ground and a storm consume the city. The video continued to get more complex in its message.
