I and Thou- An artist's perspective
As an artist, I’ve always been drawn to the untamed beauty of the wilderness. It’s a living canvas where the elements themselves are the painters, and every day is a new masterpiece. This profound connection between art and nature reminds me of Martin Buber’s “I and Thou,” which explores the depth of our relationships, including those with the world around us. It stands out to me, especially on days when it is quieter and in places that aren't as populated. Under those circumstances I can almost always melt into my surroundings in order to appreciate the myriad of smells, the paintings of light and shadow, and the sounds on the creatures around me, reminding me that I am out of place here though try as I might to fit in with the other.
